Crocheting is my favorite craft.
I learned how to crochet from my grandmother when I was a little girl and I love it. Grandma crocheted edgings on hankies, so she taught me how to crochet with thread first! I made Barbie clothes. No patterns, grandma never had patterns, so I made my own designs. Then it was on to yarn and my first ripple afghan. I taught myself how to read patterns, and when I lived in Japan I taught myself how to read symbols.

Charity Receiving Blanket
I crocheted a border around a receiving blanket.
First I did a row of sc, then a row of shells.
The blanket is mint green, which I know is hard to tell in these terrible photos.
