Scarf for Nancy's friend

Crocheting is my favorite craft.
I learned how to crochet from my grandmother when I was a little girl and I love it. Grandma crocheted edgings on hankies, so she taught me how to crochet with thread first! I made Barbie clothes. No patterns, grandma never had patterns, so I made my own designs. Then it was on to yarn and my first ripple afghan. I taught myself how to read patterns, and when I lived in Japan I taught myself how to read symbols.

I made this diagonal box stitch afghan for my nephew's baby.
I added a border of 6 rows of FPD/BPD, then finished it off with a row of reverse single.
I used 6 (5 oz) Bernat Softee Baby Denim Marl and an "E" hook.
It measures 36" x 36".

I think I'm OK with this. Not a single baby blanket won an award. All blankets are judged together, there are not seperate catagories for full size and baby size.
The blanket was made for a friend, so it was made for a purpose, not just the fair.
